Funding Priorities

Support from alumni, parents and friends impacts every aspect of University life. Whether you choose to designate your gift toward The Salve Fund, scholarships or a current capital project, your support is vital to maintaining the academic, social and spiritual experiences that make up a Salve Regina education.

The Salve Fund

To foster meaningful giving opportunities, several annual giving programs are available to help meet student and University needs. Gifts to The Salve Fund provide much needed immediate-use funds to meet the practical and necessary budgetary demands of operating a university.

Salve Regina continues to develop scholarship opportunities for students. In recent years, a number of new funds have been established by alumni, parents and friends that recognize achievement and provide financial assistance to qualifying students in various majors and areas of interest.

University Endowment

An endowment fund contributes revenue to the operating budget and student scholarships in perpetuity. Salve Regina's endowment is composed of donations made to the University with the understanding that the original value of the gift (the principal) will be invested and never spent, and a portion of the investment earnings (the distribution) will be used to fund the educational mission of the University.

Capital Projects

Salve Regina is proud to have one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. Gifts toward capital projects help the University to create and maintain an outstanding learning environment.
