The Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension (DASH) eating plan is an easy way to be healthy. The plan reduces and prevents high blood pressure, promotes healthy weight management and reduces the risk of developing certain chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, some types of cancers and osteoporosis. In this program, participants will learn what the DASH eating plan is, how to follow the eating plan and ways to incorporate DASH-friendly foods and recipes into their lives.
