Model U.N. Club
United Nations Association of the USA
The Model United Nations Club gives any interested Salve student the opportunity to become personally involved in world politics and foreign affairs outside the traditional classroom. Club members attend intercollegiate conferences where they represent the position of an actual country during deliberations on a wide range of political, economic, social, and environmental issues.
The club runs practice simulations, invites guest speakers, takes field trips, and prepares its delegation to participate in the upcoming conference. Through these simulations, members develop skills in leadership, problem solving, communications, conflict resolution, peace-making, and public speaking that they can apply to real-life situations.
