INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES History majors have the option of pursuing an internship with a local historical society, archive or museum. By working with a supervisor from the Newport Historical Society, the Naval War College, Fort Adams Trust, Rose Island Lighthouse, the Tennis Hall of Fame or with independent historians, students gain in-depth knowledge of the history of Newport and the workings of historical enterprises. Requirements: The internship is a three credit course open to junior and senior history majors. Students work a minimum of eight hours per week with their supervisor.
