NATIONAL HISTORY HONOR SOCIETY CHAPTER In the spring of 2003 the history department established the Alpha Kappa Omega chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society. In October 2003 ten history majors were inducted into the society. In April 2004, two members of the Salve Regina University chapter, Kate Iovieno and Justin Desjardins, presented papers at a Phi Alpha Theta regional conference at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. Eligibility: senior history majors
with an overall average of at least 3.0 and an average of at least 3.1
in their history classes are eligible to join. New members are inducted
in the fall semester.
