The Business Studies Program builds on the liberal arts essence and the catholic values of Salve Regina University and are designed to prepare students for career opportunities in a challenging, diverse global business environment. Business Studies offers majors in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance/Financial Management, Marketing, Management and Information Systems Management. The Business Studies curriculum is developed in consonance with the departmental faculty, the recommendations of an advisory board of business professionals, academic colleagues, accomplished alumni, and the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE).
Business Program Accreditation Salve Regina University's Business Program in Accounting, Information Systems Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Financial Management, and Management is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The IACBE establishes professional standards for program content and is a leader in requiring outcome assessment to measure institutional and program effectiveness. Acceptance into Business Studies Majors Students majoring in Business Studies and Economics programs are encouraged to maintain a 2.3 grade point average in departmental courses. Students intending to major in a Business Studies Program should complete the required introductory courses with a grade of C or higher prior to being accepted into a major offered by the Department of Business Studies and Economics.
