Commencement Exercises

Salve Regina’s 63rd Commencement exercises will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 19 in the Commencement tent. The academic procession will begin at 9:15 a.m. Families and guests should be in the tent and seated by that time.

Graduates intending to participate in the Commencement ceremony must be in an assigned seat in the O’Hare Academic Center by 8:15 a.m. If you are not in place by 8:15 a.m., your name will not be called during the ceremony. There will be no exceptions.

Please allow yourself and your family plenty of time for traveling to the University, finding a parking place, preparing your attire for the procession and locating your seat in O’Hare. Directions for the academic procession will be given at this time. Before leaving home, be certain that you have your cap, gown, tassel, academic hood and, if applicable, your honor cord.

The ceremony will end about noon. Families and guests who are making luncheon plans or other celebratory arrangements for after the ceremony should remember that traffic leaving the area will be heavy immediately following the ceremony.
