Coach Jennifer Eldridge

Jennifer Eldridge, begins her fourth season as head women's lacrosse coach, head field hockey coach, and assistant compliance coordinator at Salve Regina University.

This past summer, Eldridge was selected to attend the NCAA Women Coaches Academy. She had the opportunity to interact with other women collegiate coaches and administrators at the Division I, II and III level while developing advanced perspective and skills in the fundamentals of coaching.

A former TCCC Field Hockey Rookie of the Year and NFHCA Division III Academic Team selection at Nichols College, Eldridge transferred to and graduated from Bryant College in 2004. She finished third in both goals and points at Bryant and helped the Bulldogs advance to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2002 and 2003. For her efforts, Eldridge earned NFHCA Division II Academic Team and Northeast 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll Gold Scholar accolades.

Prior to her arrival at Salve Regina, Eldridge worked with PUMA North America, Inc., as a customer service representative and training specialist, where her performance resulted in promotions for several of her trainees. She also worked with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats minor league baseball club, where she organized clinics and coordinated players, coaches, and over 800 participants. For the past two years, Eldridge has served as the Director of the Revolution Field Hockey Camp, held at Salve Regina University.

A native of Tyngsboro, Mass., Eldridge resides in Newport, R.I.

Assistant Coach

Heather Dobson begins her first season as assistant women's lacrosse coach at Salve Regina University in 2009.

Dobson was a four-year letterwinner at Springfield College and graduated this past May with 95 career goals, which ranks her 10th in school history. As a senior captain, she earned First Team All-NEWMAC honors after recording career-highs in goals (33), assists (16), and points (49).

"Heather brings a great amount of knowledge and passion for the sport of lacrosse to our program," said Eldridge. "I am very excited to have her join my staff, as our players will benefit greatly from everything she has to offer. Her experience as a player and coach will help our program continue to grow and develop into one of the top teams in The Commonwealth Coast Conference."

Dobson appeared in 64 career games (46 starts), scoring 95 goals and dishing out 31 assists for a total of 126 points. As a freshman, she potted 24 goals and helped the Pride capture the NEWMAC Championship and earn a berth in the Division III Tournament. She tallied 13 points as a sophomore (11-2-13) and 40 more as a junior (27-13-40).

Off the field, Dobson has worked at numerous camps and clinics, including Longmeadow Youth Lacrosse (2002-05), Springfield College Women's Lacrosse Clinic (2009), Peak Performance Lacrosse Camp (2007-present), Indoor Action Sports Select Lacrosse (2007-present), Lax Plus (2008-present), and Maine Elite Lacrosse Futures (2008-present).

Dobson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Movement and Sports Studies. She was a Dean's List student and Presidential Scholarship recipient, and is currently a licensed physical education instructor (Pre K-8, 5-12).
