Luzitano joined the Office of Admissions in 2006 as a member
of the support team and was later promoted to admissions counselor. She is tasked with coordinating Connections,
the campus-wide special event for accepted applicants. Luzitano has also worked
with the Department of Performing Arts as an assistant director on main-stage
productions and has mentored students for the Irene Ryan Acting Competition.
A native of
Somerset, Mass., Luzitano chose Salve Regina because of its small size. “I knew
that I would have a lot of opportunities, especially in theater, that
other colleges couldn’t give me,” she says. While at the University, Luzitano
was a sophomore mentor, a tour guide, an officer in StageFright and a member of
the Chorus, Madrigals and Seahawk Down, Salve Regina’s improvisation group.
Outside of work, Luzitano
is the executive director and co-founder of Striving Artists Theatre Company, a
nonprofit theater company in Massachusetts, and she enjoys baking.
