You may apply online using the Common Application, an undergraduate college admission application that applicants may use to apply to any of 488 member universities in the United States and other countries. Member institutions like Salve Regina often require a Common Application supplement in which we ask additional questions that help us in the application decision.

In recognition of the varying academic calendars around the world, Salve Regina has a flexible admissions deadline for international students. However, students are advised to use the following dates as a guideline for their application. Students hoping to be awarded merit scholarships should apply as early as possible to obtain the best opportunities.
Fall Semester (August-December)
- Early Action: If Salve Regina is among your top choices, you may want to consider applying under the Early Action program. The deadline is Nov. 1 and decisions are mailed by Dec. 25.
- Regular decision: Feb. 1. Applications postmarked after that date will be considered on a space-available basis.
Spring Semester (January-May)
- Regular decision: Dec. 1. Applications postmarked after that date will be considered on a space-available basis.
A complete application is required before application review begins. A complete application contains:
- The Common Application form and Salve Regina Common Application Supplement
- Two letters of recommendation (one from a guidance counselor or school official and one from a teacher of your choice, requested through the Common Application)
- Personal statement/essay (submitted as part of the Common Application)
- Official secondary school records. Submit all official academic records from all secondary high schools and/or universities attended, plus a copy of any terminating or qualifying examination results or certificates. If you are applying during your last year of secondary school, send your official school transcript with your application now and send originals or certified copies of additional results as they become available. Official English translations are required if the official records are not provided in English.
- Proof of English proficiency (for non-native speakers of English only). Submit PTE, TOEFL or IELTS scores. Students who have attended their secondary education entirely in English will have this requirement waived. In addition, applicants who submit scores of 550 or higher on either the critical reading or writing sections of the SAT or a sub-score of 24 or higher on either the reading, English or writing sections of the ACT will automatically have the PTE, TOEFL or IELTS requirement waived.

Additional Requirements for Enrollment
All accepted international students will need to submit a financial certification form showing their ability to support themselves financially while in the United States. Once the financial certification form is received, we will issue a form I-20 to be used in obtaining your F-1 student visa to study in the United States. All accepted applications for the fall term are required to submit an enrollment deposit to reserve space in the entering class and in on-campus housing at Salve Regina. The enrollment deposit of $500 is non-refundable.
