For almost two decades, my passion for pediatric nursing has afforded me the opportunity to partner with physicians in the field of urology. I continued on this path with my DNP working with children with spina bifida. I formed a support group for families that offered cohesive multidisciplinary support for families. I found that knowledge derived from a research base provides my patients and their families with the highest quality nursing care. As a life-long learner devoted to quality professional nursing care, I have responsibility for my patients' rights. My responsibility for my patients extended into my work both in and out of the office.
I believe that academic rigor and dedication positively affected my practice and my life. I have confidence in the
value of higher education and the knowledge that if given the proper tools one can achieve great things. I firmly believe that education and service to others should be lifelong and my goal is to inspire others in the pursuit of their dreams.
