Salve Regina
offers an accelerated program that leads to both a bachelor's degree in
political science and a master's degree in international relations within five
years. This competitive program is designed for highly motivated, academically
talented and qualified undergraduates. Candidates complete the application
process by the end of their junior year.
Undergraduate
students considered for the five-year program receive conditional acceptance
into the master's program and take four graduate courses (12 credits) during
their senior year. Final program acceptance is contingent upon successful
completion of the undergraduate degree and the senior-year graduate courses.
Graduate credits earned during the senior year are counted towards the undergraduate
degree at no additional cost, allowing students in the five year program to
earn their master's degree at a reduced cost. Most importantly, the five year
program adds significant educational value to the undergraduate degree,
enhancing its marketability. For students interested in applying to law school,
a master’s degree makes their application more competitive.
