Clinical Laboratory Program (B.S. in Medical Technology)

Students who complete the requirements for a B.S. in biology may enter a 15-month clinical laboratory program following graduation. Entrance requirements include a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 2.5 in science and math courses.

  • Pathogenic Microorganisms
  • Parasitology
  • Mycology
  • Immunology
  • Virology
  • Advanced Biochemistry
  • Pathophysiology
  • Clinical Laboratory Practicum I and II

Students who earn a B.S. in biology with a concentration in microbiology are required to complete Advanced Biochemistry and Clinical Laboratory Practicum I and II.

Upon completion of the clinical internship, students receive a B.S. in medical technology and are eligible to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathology national exam in order to become a registered medical technologist.
