Patricia Nardone Soscia ’83
Board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology, Soscia earned her Doctor of Medicine from Brown University’s Alpert Medical School and completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in rheumatology at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass. As a former attending physician and clinical associate professor at UMass Memorial, she engaged in patient care, clinical research and teaching residents, medical students and rheumatology trainees. Soscia is experienced in a wide variety of musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases.

Bergschneider is
a research technician at Biogen Idec Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, Mass. A
Fortune 500 company serving patients in more than 90 countries, Biogen Idec is
among the world’s leading global biotechnology companies. The company has
developed vital therapies for multiple sclerosis, such as Avonex and Tysabri,
and discovered Rituxan, the world’s most prescribed treatment for non-Hodgkin’s
lymphoma and an effective treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.
Bianca Caetano ’06
Caetano earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Edward
Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is currently a family medicine
resident at Brown University’s Alpert Medical School Family Care Center, the
Department of Family Medicine’s major training and clinical site.
Located on the main campus of the Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, the Family
Care Center provides comprehensive patient care to the residents of Pawtucket,
Central Falls and surrounding areas.
Jacqueline Lynch

Lynch is a
research assistant investigating diabetes, obesity and metabolism in the
endocrinology division at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
The division provides expertise in the full spectrum of
endocrine diseases, including thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, adrenal and bone
and mineral disorders.
Jeffrey Newman
’06
Newman earned his Doctor of
Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida and is a
chiropractor with Active Life Chiropractic in Newburyport, Mass. Founded in
2004, Active Life Chiropractic combines skill and expertise spanning the entire
chiropractic wellness spectrum to help patients achieve their wellness
objectives.
