Art and Art History Guild
The Art and Art History Guild supplements the Department of Art's curriculum by organizing events, lectures
and activities that revolve around the creation and discussion of art. Over the
years, the Guild has produced an art auction featuring works by faculty,
students and staff, along with many regional artists. The Guild raises
money to support student trips to galleries and museums in New York City, as
well as charitable endeavors such as the Why Me Foundation, Friends of Ballard
Park and building a school in Africa. The Guild has also raised money to
support the Gabriele Bleeke-Byrne art travel scholarship and has been involved
with the Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy. Membership
is open to any student who has an interest in the visual arts.
