Continuing Education

Salve Regina offers undergraduate degree programs that meet the needs of the adult learner. Our affordable and flexible continuing education programs are offered in a variety of formats, including classroom-based semester-long courses, compressed seven-week courses and hybrid courses that combine online learning with the classroom experience.

Continuing education courses are offered at our new Center for Adult Education in Warwick, R.I. Centrally located at 144 Metro Center Blvd., the site provides easy access from I-95, I-295 and Route 4.

For a limited time, students who apply to a continuing education program will have their $40 application fee waived. At only $810 for a three-credit course (plus registration fees), tuition is affordable, and financial aid and flexible payment options are available.

Salve Regina is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In addition, the business programs are accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education and the nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.

Auditing
B.S. in Accounting

This course exposes students to the auditing profession and the audit process and addresses the CPA profession, demand for assurance services, professional ethics, and legal liability. Audit objectives, evidence, planning materiality and risk, internal control and control risk, as well as fraud and information technology, are explored. In addition, the application of the audit process to various transaction cycles is practically examined through the utilization of real-world case studies.

All students earning a bachelor’s degree through the continuing education program complete the Core Curriculum, a thought-provoking series of required courses that foster discussion and lively debate. The curriculum provides readings and experiences designed to address large, general ideas and issues within the context of the heritage of the founding Sisters of Mercy.
