The Arboretum at Salve Regina is hosting several activities on campus in conjunction with Newport Arboretum Week. The events call attention to the unique urban forest on campus and throughout Newport, which is home to 15 professionally accredited arboreta – more than any city in the world.

Dance minors will present new works in the annual Student Choreography Showcase, directed by associate professor Lindsay Guarino. Each student choreographer explores themes that are deeply personal, dealing with internal strength, beauty, resilience, overcoming obstacles and resisting opposition.

SRU Dance, Salve Regina's student-run dance organization, will present its spring performance, "Bounce," Friday, April 20 and Sunday, April 22 in the Rodgers Recreation Center. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
