- Feb. 22 to March 11: Complete the Commencement RSVP form online.
- By March 14: Order cap, gown and hood from Herff Jones.
- March 14-17: Financial aid exit interviews.
- April: Pick up regalia at the Salve Regina bookstore.
- April 11-15: Commencement packet pickup. All graduating students must pick up their Commencement packets containing announcements and tickets between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the Commencement Office, located in McAuley Hall, Room 001. Packets not picked up will be mailed to the address indicated on the Application to Graduate.
- May 1: Final day to pay the graduation fee and settle any outstanding financial obligations to the University.
A graduation fee of $225 will be charged through the Business Office. Even if you choose not to participate in Commencement activities, this fee must be paid to defray the cost of announcements, diplomas, diploma cases, mailings and activities. This fee is automatically billed to your account and must be paid to the Business Office before May 1.
In addition, all financial obligations to the University, including outstanding tuition, library fees, parking violations, etc., must be satisfied or the University will not allow you to participate in the Commencement ceremony. The University will not issue your diploma or final transcripts until your account is settled.

Financial aid recipients are required to attend a loan exit interview if during their time at Salve Regina they received one or more of the following loans: Federal Perkins Loan, Nursing Student Loan, Federal Subsidized Direct Student Loan or Federal Unsubsidized Direct Student Loan.
Students may choose any session, but must attend one session. Students who do not attend an exit interview session will not receive their diplomas at Commencement.

Graduate students and distance learners are welcome, but not required, to attend one of the sessions, but must complete the online exit interview to receive a diploma at Commencement.

All exit interviews will be held in the Bazarsky Lecture Hall.
During Commencement, all graduates will receive a ceremonial diploma cover. All diplomas will be sent via the U.S. Postal Service to the address listed by the graduate on the Application to Graduate.
Full academic regalia (including a cap) is required for all ceremonies: Honors and Awards, Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement.
Both undergraduate and graduate candidates must order a cap (with tassel), gown and hood from Herff Jones by March 14. Items may be paid for and picked up at the Salve Regina bookstore throughout the month of April. Men should wear black shoes, black socks, dark trousers (preferably black), a white shirt, a dark tie, a black gown, a cap with black tassel and an honor cord if applicable. Women should wear black shoes, neutral stockings, a dress, a black gown, a cap with a black tassel and an honor cord if applicable. Hoods presented at the Baccalaureate Mass are worn at Commencement.
During the Commencement ceremony, only University-recognized cords, stoles or pins may be worn on the outside of the gown. Corsages or other ornamentation are not allowed.
The 66th annual Commencement Ball will be held Thursday, May 12 at the Newport Marriott. The evening will begin with a reception at 7 p.m., followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and then dancing until 1 a.m. Attire for the occasion is formal.

Graduate students and their guests will be honored during a reception scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, May 12 in Ochre Court. Formal invitations will be distributed in the spring.
